HP Sales Target 50% for the new Notebook
Financial crisis not make Hewlett-Packard (HP) pessimistic. Manufacturers of computers and printers are confident this target sales can be achieved. “The growth of our notebook sales would double every year . Forthis latest HP notebook, we are targeting sales of more than 50 percent from last year,” said Martin Wibisono, Director of HP’s Personal Indonesia, after seven launch HP’s latest notebook in Wisma Bakrie Building 2, Kuningan Jakarta, on Thursday (30/10/2008).
“Everyone would want to be the first, so also with us. I hope next year we can become number one in the U.S. notebook market,” added Martin.
Currently, HP’s market share in the second quarter was 17 percent, while Acer about 40 percent. “It is very much difference, but we sure can occupy the first position,” said the Martin.
