Scientists have claimed quantum calculation, after handling the storage of information in an atomic nucleus, so-called smallest storage devices. Team scientists comes from Princeton University, Oxford and United States Department of Energy, and has been using the Electron and nucleus of a phosphorus atom that placed in the silicon crystal. Both have a nucleus Electron or quantum magnets that can be used to store quantum information.

“Electron will act as a mediator between the nucleus and the outside world. This makes it easy for us to see the speed of the process of Electron quickly and provide more long-time memory from the nucleus. ” John Morton, a member of the St researcher. John’s College Oxford.

When memory is stored in the nucleus for a few seconds, the team of scientists will manage to maintain access to information in two seconds. Students learn the science of quantum describe how the system if used to store quantum information processing time by one second, plus error correction techniques that can protect data for unlimited periods of time.

“No one knows how long a nucleus will be able to store information in the quantum system it. With the crystal and the accuracy of measurement carefully, we can see the speed of super fast memory than before. “Said Steve Lyon, the chairman of the Princeton team.
